Prashanth is a music composer and producer based in Chennai, India. When he was 13, he picked up an old guitar that was lying around his grandparents' house and this marked the beginning of a lifelong journey. After initially assisting composers in the Tamil film industry like Yuvan Shankar Raja, Bharath Sankar and Ghibran, he ventured into composing jingles and documentaries and has since composed the music for several brands including Unicef, RMKV and Nalli. He has also produced the background scores for several award winning films.

 

Apart from the commercial scene, Prashanth is also part of a 3 member Indo-French collective called Anokha which combines traditional Indian and French music. Prashanth believes his strengths lie in his understanding of storytelling.
